best of peter pilotto resort 2012 collection times three

The boys who master the digital print don't fail us once again,
Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos transform the jacquard
print into a scale beyond our own visual perception which gives
the appearance of vertical pleats in an acid wash of colours.

best of ricardo tisci for givenchy resort 2012 collection times three

images courtesy of http://www.style.com/ and givenchy
Ricardo Tisci continues with his floral print exploration following
his violet infused fall collection for Givenchy. However this
resort we see a tropical influence with a psychedelic digital print.
The tailoring has a sporty approach that is structured in the
chest and shoulders. A fun and modern collection for Tisci.

Basso and Brooke's digital print revolution is applied
again in their fall collection, however this collection is
a minimalist range of tailoring with austere pieces that
incorporate camouflage prints.

best of mary katrantzou fall 2011 collection times three

images courtesy of http://www.style.com/ and gorunway.com
Admittedly Mary Katrantzou has demonstrated the most
unique application of digital prints as she does what no other
designer does by remarkably exploring its third dimension, I
sometimes think her creative genius has to be accompanied
with some sort of madness as I watch all these pieces come
together they are simply a visual feast.

Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos fall 2011 collection
represent a strong punk aesthetic with a lovely constructivist
colour palette and geometric digital prints. The layering of
the pieces is always what intrigues me in runway shows and
the way in which the designer has this sort of suggestion of how
these pieces should be put together or assembled as an outfit
 - its almost a whole other art besides the design itself.

best of proenza schouler fall 2011 collection times three

images courtesy of gorunway and http://www.vogue.com.au/

Proenza Schouler's Jack and Larry have left me speechless
with this collection- it is a progressive approach that demonstrates
their sheer talent and extrodinary attention to detail. The craftsmanship
alone is worthy of much praise, the woven details of the pants represent
a quality uncomparable. Yes I know I am giving them much praise but it
is well due. The collection explores aztec prints but with a contemporary
approach using digital prints to manipulate them. The colours are
incredibly relevant to the aztec theme and are exquistely blocked and
matched. This is guranteed to be my favourite collection for Fall 2011.

best of basso and brooke spring/summer 2011 collection times three

bruno basso and chris brooke explore the layering of
digital prints in their spring/summer collection, the
prints come from technical digital scripting which
appear to come together quite effortlessly in flattering
feminine cuts and graphic composition
