Perhaps the only two men in fashion who make me
this weak at the knees- Lazarro Hernandez and Jack
Mccollough. Season after season they have progressed
and within the last two years have produced flawless
collections each piece wearable and unique. And this
resort they just had to do it again - it makes me feel
more and more helpless scrolling through each piece
thinking how will I get my mittens on these pieces with
so very few stockists and a limited earning capacity!
Despite never having acquired any of Proenza Schouler's
pieces I still ultimately find huge satisfaction in admiring
these collections and their clever designs and techniques
season after season. This resort they assemble a palette
of maroon, khaki, amber, taupe, ochre and paprika with
tailoring remnant of the 60's with the shift dress, mini
skirt, cropped shorts, and of course the wavy graphics.

Jack and Larry officially kings of the clutch, check out last
summers clutch if you want to see what I mean. These bags
are exceptional from the colour combinations their simple
shapes and then even going to the effort to match the textiles
from the runway show. Clever clever boys!

There are very few fashion designers who exhibit jewellery
in their ready to wear shows, but proenza schouler know
how crucial these pieces are in completing their looks. These
lovely resin neckpieces are victorianesque mixed with
oversized tribal both complimenting their textile exploration
for this collection

Larry and Jack's Proenza Schouler collection was perhaps
my favourite collection from new york with the lovely
colour combinations and clever craftsmanship, these
heels are no exception- they combine texture and colours
with suedes and cow hides with in a dramatic ankle strap
detail.

Proenza Schouler's Jack and Larry have left me speechless
with this collection- it is a progressive approach that demonstrates
their sheer talent and extrodinary attention to detail. The craftsmanship
alone is worthy of much praise, the woven details of the pants represent
a quality uncomparable. Yes I know I am giving them much praise but it
 is well due. The collection explores aztec prints but with a contemporary
approach using digital prints to manipulate them. The colours are
incredibly relevant to the aztec theme and are exquistely blocked and
matched. This is guranteed to be my favourite collection for Fall 2011.
